NotebookLM notebooks are now in Gemini
If you already use NotebookLM, the feature we’ve been waiting for has finally landed in Gemini chat. Haha, finally.
Gemini and NotebookLM are now officially integrated. Google announced it as “Meet notebooks in the Gemini app.” Gemini is now connected to NotebookLM, Google’s AI research partner, to give your projects a home base. You upload your docs or PDFs, Gemini uses them as context for tailored answers, and everything stays in sync, so you can start in one app and finish in the other.
Think of NotebookLM as a dedicated folder for your big ideas or specific tasks. You just upload your Google Docs files or PDFs straight into it.
Gemini then uses those documents as its main context, so its answers are based on your own material.
One ecosystem, fully in sync
What I like about this update is how easy it is to move between the two.
Everything syncs automatically. You can start by throwing out ideas or doing your first brainstorm in Gemini, then jump straight into NotebookLM for deeper research and to wrap up the results. And it works the other way around too.
That should mean fewer scattered documents and less re-explaining context to the AI, which helps on a big project.
