The problem
Forms say “max 200 KB”, email turns away big attachments, and drives fill up with scans. Online compressors handle a few files at a time, only after they’re uploaded to someone else’s server, and they don’t tell you when a result comes out blurry. Minima does the job on your Mac, without an internet connection, and checks every result before you use it.
What it does
Smaller images and PDFs, at Best, Balanced or Smallest, or under a size limit like “no bigger than 100 KB”.
A second look at every file. Results that might look worse are flagged, and a file that can’t get smaller keeps its original.
Whole folders of thousands of files, returned under the same names, ready to copy over the old ones.
Convert, merge, split and rotate, at full quality: HEIC to JPEG, PDF pages to images, a stack of photos to one PDF.
